NAV-G Method (UV Type)

The New Acrylics Visible-Glass fiber cloth (NAV-G Method, UV Type) is a new type of peeling prevention method that can enable visualization of the progress of existing cracks or new cracks with a highly transparent Fiber-Reinforced Plastic (FRP) on the surface of concrete by coating a special fiber sheet with acrylic resin adhesive. This method permits continuous monitoring by daily visual checks and makes it easier to make additional countermeasures decisions. This method is applicable to the standard for peeling prevention methods in the NEXCO structure construction management manual.

Features

Visualization

  • This method has transparency, which conventional peeling prevention methods do not have.
  • This method maintains this transparency for visualization for a long time.

Short construction period

  • This method can applied rapidly because the adhesive has a fast curing time in the NAV resin.
  • This method can be applied immediately before the finishing coat because it does not need extra time for curing before the next construction step.

Weatherproof

  • This method has excellent durability against ultraviolet rays due to the 'clear-top' weatherproof coating.
  • This method has shrinkage crack resistance and salt-protection properties in addition to its peeling prevention property.

Mechanical characteristics

  • This method has excellent peeling prevention resistance and adhesive property and is applicable to the standard for peeling prevention in the NEXCO structure construction management manual.

Workability

  • This method can be applied in cold regions because the adhesive has an excellent cold curing property in the NAV resin.
  • This method can be applied where space is limited because it does not need heavy equipment.
